Eligibility

Applicants must be enrolled in a doctoral program in clinical, counseling, or school psychology and meet all internship eligibility requirements established by their doctoral program.

Appointment

The Internship is a full-time, 12-month appointment requiring completion of 2,000 hours of supervised professional training. 

Application Process

Applicants should submit materials through the APPIC Internship Application process. Required application materials typically include:

  • APPIC Application for Psychology Internship (AAPI)
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Graduate transcripts
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Verification of doctoral program readiness for internship

Interviews

Selected applicants will be invited to participate in virtual interviews with program faculty and leadership.

Onboarding Requirements

Prior to beginning the Internship, selected applicants must complete:

  • Florida State University employment paperwork
  • Background screening requirements
  • Clinical site credentialing processes
  • Required orientation and onboarding activities
