The Internal Medicine Interest Group (IMIG) is an organization that works to promote interest, education, and participation in the medical specialty of Internal Medicine. To accomplish this goal we have coordinated an effort to send first year medical students on Grand Rounds at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, invited general internists and sub-specialists to speak with students about the particulars of their respective fields, and participated in local health fairs. With a membership in IMIG, students are encouraged to also become members of the national organization, The American College of Physicians, and participate in their local and national conferences.
