College of Medicine

After 16 years in the Department of Family Medicine and Rural Health and as the founding member and administrator of the Gadsden County School-Based Health Clinics, Dr. Susan LaJoie, DrPH, APRN-c, has accepted a new position at the College of Medicine in the Department of Behavioral Sciences & Social Medicine as the Director of the AHEC program, effective Friday, January 5, 2024. 

Dr. LaJoie's service in our department and the community, especially in Gadsden County, has been exceptional and we will miss her kind and compassionate service to the underserved and needy children in the Gadsden County Schools.

Wishing you the very best in your new adventures, Dr. LaJoie!!!! You were a true servant leader for all these years. Thank you for your loyal and dedicated service.
