    This manual is entitled, Constructing Written Test Questions for the Basic and Clinical Sciences and is considered an excellent resource for learning more about the construction of multiple choice items and extended matching items.

  • Information about the new Step 2 Clinical Skills Exam
    In mid-2004, a clinical skills examination will be added to USMLE Step 2 that will test medical students on their ability to gather information from patients, perform a physical examination and communicate their findings to patients and colleagues. The name of the examination is Step 2 Clinical Skills, or Step 2 CS; the current multiple-choice component of Step 2 is being referred to as Step 2 Clinical Knowledge, or Step 2 CK.
