Provides access to resources with licenses that are limited to the College of Medicine.
2. How to Use the College of Medicine EZProxy:
When proceeding to EZProxy login page, you may see a security warning indicating
there is a problem with the security certificate.
See the troubleshooting section below for instructions
about warning windows.
Type your College of Medicine username and password in the boxes.
Click on the Login button.
If you do not know your username and password
or if you think they have not been activated, contact your
Regional Campus Technology Coordinator.
A wide selection of medical resources is available from the Medical Library Home Page.
You can also link to the FSU Main Library pages to use resources that are available there.
EZProxy puts some extra code into the URLs in the browser's address bar.
This code is necessary for access to restricted resources.
If you type a new URL into your browser address field OR if you use a bookmark or history link,
you will lose this code and lose access to resources.
You MUST use links from the web page that EZProxy returns to
in order to maintain your EZProxy login.

3. Troubleshooting
a. "Security Alert" window in Internet Explorer browser
You can simply click "Yes" every time you use EZProxy, OR you can install the certificate
and you will not see this window until it expires in a year.
When you install the certificate you are
accepting that the information you send to this website (your username and password) is going
to FSU College of Medicine and not to an imposter.
To install the certificate:
b. "Web Site Certified by an Unknown Authority" window in FireFox browser
You can simply click "Yes" every time you use EZProxy, OR
you can accept the certificate permanently
and you will not see this window until it expires in a year.
When you accept the certificate,
you are accepting that the information you send to this website
(your username and password) is going
to FSU College of Medicine and not to an imposter.
To install the certificate:
c. EZProxy stops working
You may find that although you have been working in EZProxy accessing FSU licensed resources,
suddenly you are challenged for a username and password. EZProxy is not authenticating you to use the resources.
Check the address bar of your browser for the EZProxy code:
If the text "ezproxy.med.fsu.edu" is not present in the address line of your browser,
you have lost your EZProxy authentication. It can be caused by breaking a continuous linking
sequence (as when you type into the address bar or use a link from your favorites list.)
You MUST use a continuous series of links from the library web page that
EZProxy returns to in order to maintain your EZProxy login.
If you have lost your authentication,
you need to login to EZProxy again to re-establish your FSU authentication.
If you continue to have problems accessing one of our
medical resources, please call the Medical Library at 644-7623.
