Background and applications

The Axima CFR-plus is a matrix assisted laser
desorption ionization time of flight (MALDI-TOF) mass
spectrometer that provides both the high mass accuracy and the
high resolution required for effective analysis of biomolecules
in the field of proteomics.
Some of the applications include:
- Protein and peptide identification
- Nucleic acid analysis
- Rapid small molecule characterization
- Polymer analysis
Instrument Specs (Shimadzu)
Features and benefits of the Axima CFR-plus include:
- Mass range 1-500kDa in linear mode; 1-80kDa in
reflectron mode
