Outreach Programs
The FSU College of Medicine Outreach Programs were developed to
provide a career pathway for students who have been traditionally
under-represented in medical and other scientific fields.
The program seeks to increase the number of these students who
graduate from high school prepared to enter science, math,
engineering and technology majors in college, and who subsequently
matriculate into medical school and other health-related graduate
programs.
Ultimately, the Outreach Programs will serve as a pipeline for
bringing students from medically under-served populations to the FSU
College of Medicine, which in turn will focus on producing
physicians to practice in Florida's rural and inner-city
communities.
